The Director of Waikiki Youth Outreach (WYO) made an urgent appeal to Epiphany Episcopal Church’s Outreach Committee for a cash donation to support their ongoing efforts to serve homeless youths in our community. Our outreach committee responded to the call and on behalf of Epiphany Episcopal Church gave $1,000 to support this important work. WYO serves as a safe haven for homeless youths, offering medical care, social services and non-judgmental support along with food, hot showers and clothing.
Epiphany Episcopal Church Outreach Committee continues supporting WYO through the generous donations of our members with canned food and clothing. The partnership that we have with WYO is another example of how Epiphany contributes to Jesus’s work in our community.
“Then the King will say to those at his right hand, Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.”
Matthew 25:34-36
